You can permanently delete your Nexus Rift account at any time. This page explains exactly what deletion removes, how long it takes, and the two ways to request it.
What deletion removes
Deleting your account is permanent and irreversible. When your request is processed, we remove:
- your account and sign-in credentials;
- every mech you own or have crafted;
- every subsystem in your inventory;
- your pilots, skins, and other in-game items;
- your entire NXR balance. NXR is an in-game currency with no cash value and no withdrawal. Any remaining balance, purchased or earned, is forfeited on deletion and cannot be refunded or recovered.
What we retain
We keep a minimal set of transaction and ledger records where the law requires us to, for example to meet accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution obligations. These records are retained only as long as necessary for those purposes and are not used to restore your gameplay account. See our Privacy Policy for details on retention.
Timeline
In-app deletion takes effect immediately. Once confirmed, your account and the items listed above are removed right away and cannot be restored. Email-based requests are actioned as soon as we verify the account, normally within 30 days.
Option 1: Delete in the game (fastest)
The quickest way to delete your account is from inside the game:
- open Nexus Rift and sign in;
- go to Settings > Account > Delete Account;
- confirm when prompted.
Your account is deleted immediately once you confirm. You can open the game here.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the game, email us from the address on your account and we will delete it for you. Send your request to [email protected] with the subject "Account deletion request". Please send it from the email address linked to your account so we can verify ownership before we delete anything.
