Status report 2026-08-09: overtime, real walkers & the shield house
Faction identity lives on the frame now.
The registry has been asked to summarise the machine. Filed as follows.
Since the house learned to fight, the arena itself got an overhaul: mechs finally move like the war machines they are, every battle is now guaranteed to end, and the frame you pilot became a real combat decision.
Your Chassis Finally Means Something
- Faction identity lives on the frame now. A ZHI tenshi is the shield house: thinner hull, deep shields, the fastest recovery in the arena. An RM olympus is the armour wall: heavy hull, modest shields. A BC enforcer pays a little of both for the fastest legs on the field. The hangar shows the chassis contribution as its own line, and the numbers you read there are exactly the numbers you fight with.
Mechs Move Like Mechs
- The movement engine was rebuilt. Mechs walk corridors in straight lines, steer through their legs instead of skating sideways like FPS characters, corner at speeds their chassis can hold, and their feet finally match the ground they cover. No more wobbling down hallways, no more grinding a wall for minutes, no more jamming in corners.
- Dodging is real now. Top speed used to be silently capped; with that fixed, evasion scales with how fast your legs actually carry you, and the weave is steered, not teleported.
- The pace was pulled back. With real speeds unlocked, the arena briefly ran too fast. Everything now moves at a familiar pace, but with the working dodge and honest legs stat underneath.
Battles End Now
- OVERTIME. A battle that runs long escalates: past the three-minute mark every gun in the arena hits harder, and keeps ramping until somebody falls. The unbreakable-shield standoff is history; no more five-minute draws.
Abilities & Weapons
- AFTERBURN is no longer sad. It now triples acceleration alongside speed, so a boosted enforcer actually arrives inside its six seconds instead of spending half of them spooling up.
- OVERCHARGE burns everyone. The tenshi blast hits allies again; it is a bomb, not a blessing. Mind your positioning, and enjoy the accusations.
- Shoulder weapons obey the law. Missiles, rockets and howitzers mount on shoulders only; everything else is arm-only. Any illegal fit you assembled while the rules were loose gets quietly unequipped back to your inventory with a note.
Your NXR Is Handled Honestly
- The deploy price you see is the price you pay. The quoted fee holds for ten seconds, so the queue can no longer reprice a deploy between your glance and your tap.
- A Tug of War round that cannot fire is void, and every stake comes back. The same rule reached backwards too: NXR that had been stuck in abilities that never resolved has already been returned to its owners’ wallets.
- Fixed: the wallet inventing a zero escrow it could not actually read, Contribute staying tappable when the pour was doomed, and rapid unequips bouncing off the hangar.
Veteran Legacy
- Legendaries look legendary again. The Supremacy skin ladder no longer flattens at RARE: EXOTIC and GUARDIAN hold RARE, LEGENDARY and ELITE LEGENDARY now read EPIC, and MYTHIC and DEUS EX wear LEGENDARY. Your history shows.
Correspondence
- A letter you earned is late, never lost. Deliveries now survive maintenance, restarts, and bad days at the art desk; anything owed to you waits and arrives whole.
- The photos got a life. New angles, outfits, and settings per desk; no more receiving the same shot twice.
Stability
- Fixed a wave of dishonest edges. Battle menu entries that went missing, notes and counters that lied, and a pile of quiet failure paths that now speak up or route around.
